Artist Selection Process
At World Song Cup, we carefully select talented emerging artists from around the world to participate in this unique musical competition. Our selection process ensures that each artist represents the best of their country’s music scene, bringing diversity, originality, and cultural richness to the contest. Through a meticulous review of submissions, we handpick artists who showcase exceptional vocal ability, creativity, and stage presence. Additionally, we will outline some basic requirements for selection, helping aspiring participants understand what it takes to join this global stage:
Eligibility Requirements for Emerging Artists in the World Song Cup
- Age Requirement – Artists must be 18 years or older to participate.
- Music Video Availability – Participants must have one or more music videos available on a digital platform that can be accessed by WSC, with a production quality deemed acceptable by the organization.
- Alternative Submission – If the video is not publicly available, the artist may privately submit their material directly to WSC for consideration in the selection process.
- Emerging Artist Status – The artist must be verifiably emerging, meaning they do not have significant reach or a large following and are in need of greater exposure.
- Active Music Career – Artists must be able to demonstrate that they are currently active and not retired or inactive for an extended period.
- Recent Music Releases – Only music videos released within the last six years are eligible for competition.
- Public Image & Integrity – Artists must not be involved in public controversies or legal issues that could affect their participation.
- Selection & Disqualification Rights – World Song Cup reserves the right to select or disqualify participants at its discretion.
How to Know If You Have Been Selected
Each year, during the selection process, artists will know they have been chosen when the official World Song Cup pages or social media accounts start following them. Additionally, they may receive a direct message informing them of their selection.
Artists must not reveal their participation before the official announcement by World Song Cup. Any premature disclosure may result in disqualification from the competition.
